Two viscous catfights, three duels in the arena, a
gladiatrix revolt, and a running  battle through the catacombs as the
girls escape make for plenty of action. Plus for Pam Grier fans, a
full frontal nudity shower scene. The movie portrays them as
playthings for the vicarious bloodlust of Imperial Rome, slave-girl
gladiators forced to fight or die in spectacles of barbarous combat. Pam
Grier and Margaret Markov head the cast of sweaty sword-and-sandal
sisters.

| The second Gor movie. So they doubled the number of fights to two. The heroine unarmed had to tackle an opponent with whip, mace and shield. Then two opponents simultaneously. A nice fight. However, if you are a fan of John Norman's books let me warn you, the movies do not follow the books at all. In this second movie in the series, Professor-turned-hero Tarl Cabot is back fetched by magic from his world to the kingdom of a despotic queen, where he must battle gladiators and a giant, man-munching bird. Urbano Barberini, Playmate Rebecca Ferratti and Jack Palance star. 90 min. Other than the seXy girls fighting, I didn't find the movie very good. | |||||||||||||||||

| I counted nine (9) fights. Three of them were catfights. The rest with swords. AND, that's just among the girls. A good Sword-and-sorcery movie with Rick Hill and Maria Ford. 85 min. Deathstalker and Deathstalker II are now on DVD. Also good movies for this genre but fewer catfights. I & II are available to rent. | |||||||||||||||||
